I couldn’t sleep for days because I had to finish it. Gotcha! got me bad !
Gotcha! is a great story written by New York Times bestselling author of more than 20 books, Christie Craig.
The plot is clever and it has the perfect dose of suspense. I couldn’t wait to find more after every chapter. I ended up completely frustrated because I didn’t want it to end but, at the same time, I needed to know the final! It was fun and stressful but it was so good to read.
Macy Tucker was five years old when her beloved grandfather dropped dead in his spaghetti. At twelve, her father left his family in the dust. At twenty-five, her husband gave his secretary a pre-Christmas bonus in bed, and Macy gave him the boot. To put things lightly, men have been undependable. That’s why dating’s off the menu. Macy is focused on putting herself through law school — which means being the delivery girl for Papa’s Pizza. But cheesier than her job is her pie-eyed brother, who just recently escaped from prison to protect his new girlfriend. And hotter than Texas toast is the investigating detective. Proud, sexy…inflexible, he’s a man who would kiss her just to shut her up. But Jake Baldwin’s a protector as much as a dish. And when he gets his man — or his woman — Macy knows it’s for life.
You’ll find it on Wattpad for free. Don’t miss it the second book of the series, The Cop Who Stole Christmas !
I’ve never celebrated Thanksgiving and it’s is not really known in France but I always thought it was nice to have a day to remember everything we are thankful for.
Here’s a picture of what a Thanksgiving dinner should look like (except for the missing turkey on the table!). It was published earlier today by Pharrell Williams on his Facebook page.
Today I’m thankful for having an amazing family that I love and friends I can count on.
And you guys, what are you thankful for?
Christmas is around the corner, in every streets, every shops and just anywhere in Paris. I’m sure it’s exactly the same everywhere. And that’s why I always loved this period of the year because everything so beautiful.
Today it went to the Christmas Market on the Champs-Elysées. I loved it! The Market was filled with tourists and there were a lot of little houses-like shops which sold stuff like food, amber jewelry, cashmere, french cheese and food again. :p
If you’re in Paris don’t miss it !
First thing you need to know about me is I love to read! It’s insane sometimes how I can spend an entire day reading a book! So that seemed only logical to me to start this blog by sharing a book I loved. It’s what we french people would call a « Coup de Cœur ».
I found a website a few years ago when looking for free e-books on the net. And I found this amazing community of writer and readers that surely you know if you like to read like me. Yes, I’m talking about wattpad.com! If you didn’t know then you should check it up you won’t regret it I promise!
So like I said, I love to read and 70% of what I read daily you can find on Wattpad. The book I wanted to talk to you about is a contemporary romance written by Ruthie Knox. It’s called Truly and it’s the first novel of the « New York Series ». Truly will be published in August 2014 by Loveswept (Random House). Ruthie is the author of 8 other books. For Truly, she wanted to share it with her fans before it was published.
May Fredericks hates New York. Which is fair enough, since New York seems to hate her back. Just weeks after moving from Wisconsin to Manhattan, she receives the world’s worst marriage proposal, stabs her boyfriend with a shrimp fork in a very public venue, and accidentally becomes notorious. And that’s before she gets mugged. At her wit’s end, May washes up at a Packers bar in Greenwich Village, where she meets a surly, unhelpful guy who hates her shoes and calls her ex a douche. His name is Ben. He used to be a chef. Now he’s a rooftop beekeeper with anger management issues. She wouldn’t even like him, but he reminds her of home … and he knows where to find all the best food in the Village. She makes him laugh. He buys her tacos and cowboy boots. The longer they’re stuck together, the better May and Ben get along … and the harder they fall. TRULY is a quirky, modern New York love story unlike any you’ve read before.
What I can tell you:
I waited every Monday with excitement just to read the next chapters. It was completed at the beginning of November and I had only one thing in mind: I WANT MORE!
It’s witty, refreshing and so meaningful.
